- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By Ian Griffiths07/09/2017I visited the pharmacy in Hawes having completed the seventh of 16 days walking the Pennine Way. I had developed a large bleeding blister on the sole of one of my feet. The pharmacist could not have been more helpful and showed me the extensive range of products available- I already had Compeed plasters but after discussion and advice I selected a pair of Scholl jelly boot inserts - they ensured that I completed the next nine days walking and I appreciated his advice for the rest of the Pennine Way. So if you are walking and have foot problems and you reach Hawes you can be sure of friendly and professional advice from the Hawes pharmacist- even if he was from Solihull!
